The monitor offers excellent image quality thanks to its high resolution of two times 5 Megapixels (grayscale), a strong contrast ratio of 1700:1 and stable brightness of up to 2500 cd/m2. In digital mammograms, diagnosis can depend on the display of the very finest details. With high resolution, such important details are preserved and the lower image quality and mosaic effects of lower resolutions are avoided. The details are also displayed in a differentiated way, independent of the viewing angle from which the user views the monitor. This is a great advantage when multiple physicians are simultaneously reviewing an image on the monitor.

Diagnostics on a new level and without disturbing factors

Thanks to a bezel width of only 7.5 mm - the world's narrowest bezel width on 5 megapixel monitors - the distance between the display areas of both monitors is only 15 mm. In addition, the panel's bezel protrudes only 2.5 mm from the monitor, ensuring a close fit. Thus, the gaze exchange between the monitors is not disturbed.

Space-saving placement

The GX560-MD is extremely space-saving. Compared to conventional, side-by-side setups of individual monitors with this resolution, 67 mm is saved in the horizontal direction, 36 mm in the vertical direction and 20.5 mm in the depth direction. All in all, this means a 22% reduction in the total surface area required. Valuable space, which is freed up for a more spacious work environment.

If the diagnostic station works with two computer systems, Switch & Go ensures that you only need one set of peripherals. By simply moving the mouse back and forth between the displays, you can operate both computers alternately. This increases efficiency and makes your workplace more manageable.

Consistent image quality assurance

The optional EIZO RadiCS image quality assurance software enables comprehensive maintenance and examination of monitors. This software covers all steps, from calibration through transmission and radiation testing to archiving. If you work with multiple monitors, we recommend the use of the RadiNET Pro software. This software controls the calibration of all monitors including data history centrally. This will save you a lot of time and you will have a uniform high image quality for the whole system. RadiForce GX, RX and MX/MS come with the basic version RadiCS LE as standard.

Correct representation of grey tones

Grayscales are retrieved from an internal 14-bit Look-Up-Table (LUT), which contains a palette with 16369 shades of gray. This enables calibrations (for example of the DICOM® tonality curve) without loss of data. The luminance distribution can also be set without loss of data. With a suitable DisplayPort signal, up to 1024 shades of gray can be displayed simultaneously.

Even illumination on the entire screen

The monitor impresses with its even illumination. This is ensured by the Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE), which automatically corrects irregularities pixel by pixel. Shades of gray from radiological and other medical images are reproduced correctly on the entire screen. This is indispensable for diagnosis.

Consistent image quality thanks to integrated front sensor

The precise calibration of white point and tonality curve is guaranteed thanks to a front sensor (IFS) integrated into the frame. It measures brightness and gray scales and independently calibrates the monitor according to the DICOM® standard. The sensor works automatically without restricting the monitor's field of vision. You spend less time on maintenance and can rely on consistently high image quality.

The display properties, in particular brightness and contrast, are suitable for setting up DIN 6868-157-compliant image display systems. The DICOM®-GSDF curve is already set exactly at the factory. This means that the gray values are consistent, which is indispensable for diagnosis.

FDA 510(k) clearance

The high resolution of 5 Megapixels (grayscale) of the RadiForce GX560-MD makes the monitor perfectly capable of displaying the finest details in mammography examinations. To recognize the smallest structures, the monitor offers a high contrast ratio. The RadiForce GX560-MD has received FDA 510(k) clearance for breast tomosynthesis.

Contrasting to the details

Thanks to the high contrast ratio, images are displayed with realistic detail. Gray and black values are highly differentiated. The result: an extremely sharp reproduction of images in gray scale. You can distinguish even the finest structures.

Blur reduction

LCD panels with high brightness often render images blurrier than the original due to overexposure. EIZO therefore offers a blur reduction function integrated into the monitor. This function ensures that the details that have disappeared in the blurred edges are displayed again in maximum brightness on the monitor.

A sensor for the backlight continuously determines the luminance of the monitor. The advantage: The set and calibrated values are already exactly displayed a few seconds after switching on and remain constant throughout the entire operating period. Presence Sensor: Saving Energy in Your Absence

A presence sensor saves energy and protects the environment. The sensor detects whether someone is sitting at the monitor or not. As soon as the person leaves the workplace, the monitor switches off. When the person returns, it switches back on - fully automatically, without the need to touch the mouse or keyboard. The monitor is always ready for use, with no waiting time.

Extended operating time thanks to automatic switch-off

The monitor is equipped with a function for automatically turning off the backlight (Backlight Saver). This extends the operating time. Just like a screen saver, the LEDs are switched off when the monitor is no longer in use.
